Fuse test is used to test the functionality and performance of the fuse, people make test on the fuse what is important in military weapons, thus we can learn whether a product meet the designed requirements of the fuse. However, the conventional fuse test is expendable and non-recyclable. These drawbacks make the development and testing costs much increased. To avoid this problem, we conduct fuse virtual test combining with computer visual simulation technology. Fuse virtual test visual simulation can simulate the process of the fuse test with realistic 3D scene displayed. So that experimenters can observe the condition of the fuse easy, intuitive and flexible, including fuse explosion and killing surface. Meanwhile fuse virtual test can also reduce the cost, avoid trials accident, provide reference and experience for the research and development of new type of fuse.Vega Prime is a visual simulation rendering tools developed by Multigen-Paradigm, which is widely used in the field of real-time visual simulation, sound simulation and virtual reality. It used to render the battlefield, simulation, entertainment, urban simulation, training simulators and visual database. It combines easy tools with the advanced visual simulation skillfully to allow people to create, edit, run complex real-time 3D simulation application quickly and easily.The visual simulation system for the fuse virtual test plays an important role in analysis and demonstration. Using the visual simulation technology, the visual simulation system for the fuse virtual test on Multigen Creator and Vega Prime software platform is developed. The whole architecture of this system is analyzed, the realization of function modules is explained, which highlights explains the 3D dynamic model display and visualization, including scene initialization, creation and motion simulation of the fuse carriers and target model, the establishment and dynamic presentation of fuse detection signal, the fuse destruction demonstration effect, local keyboard control and screen saving, environmental background and interface processing. Meanwhile, it discusses some key technology that used in scenarios visual development, such as Open GL and Vega Prime mixed programming.Finally, the article also describes the structure and warfare of the terminal sensitive projectile. In order to simulate the terminal sensitive projectile operational process easily, while simplifying the model, the scene has been simplified. Then it explains how to build the demo scene and the scene objects including missile, terminal sensitive projectile and tank, and how to make the different objects move. At last, some pictures are given to show the different stages of the whole scene.Development of the visual simulation system has expanded the application of vision simulation technology in the field of military research, will exert a certain influence in improving the performance of the fuse equipped in the weapon and the research efficiency in the future. The article will have certain reference value to the personnel engaged in visual simulation and virtual reality field.
