With the rapid development of highway construction in Xinjiang area, heavy traffic has been very common, coupled with the extreme high temperature in Xinjiang summer and other complex climatic conditions, the asphalt pavement is facing a severe test. Under the action of high temperature, asphalt pavement stiffness and shear properties of the rapid decline; and in heavy load under repeated loading,pavement structure layer shear stress gradually increased, these are the causes of the lack of stability of asphalt pavement. Therefore, around the above two external factors, put forward the Xinjiang area under high temperature and heavy load asphalt pavement stability research, social and economic development in Xinjiang region has important theoretical and practical significance.First, the types of asphalt pavement in Xinjiang region investigation, respectively, from the region of Xinjiang climate environment, resources development, road transport and highway overloading situation to carry on the analysis, to find out formation mechanism of asphalt pavement disease for the Xinjiang region,Xinjiang High- temperature, heavy load area regional transportation is put forward, for the analysis of the selection of pavement materials lay the foundation.Secondly, the choice of Xinjiang region of four kinds of common asphalt using DSR, BBR and RTFOT experiment means, of four kinds of asphalt were temperature and mechanical comparison analysis,four asphalt stability order, for asphalt mixture design parameters and representative pavement structure combination selected to provide a theoretical basis.Again, The shear performance of asphalt mixture with the study design, first systematically introduced asphalt mixture design theory. Then the triaxial shear test, from the asphalt type, nominal maximum particle size, temperature of the design parameters of asphalt mixed material high temperature stability are analyzed.Finally, according to the investigation and analysis of the typical pavement structure of Xinjiang region, and draws up the three kinds of typical asphalt pavement structure by using ANSYS finite element software, which has, from the theory analysis the axle load and temperature on pavement structure layers within the maximum shear force variation, applicable to the Xinjiang region at high temperature and heavy load asphalt pavement structure.
