Green Building and industrialization are not only the main trends of the current international building industry development, but also important engines to promote China’s energy conservation. Whereas the promotion of the new energy-saving material is the important prerequisite for developing green building and industrialization. Translucent concrete is a new functional material. Application of translucent concrete products to the production of prefabricated building envelope can not only function as traditional walls in enveloping and decoration, but also significantly improve the lighting conditions in the room during the day, thus saving electricity for lighting. But it also has shortcomings, such as low productivity of existing production process and insufficient tools to evaluate product performance. To address these problems, the present thesis took the transparent resin as a photoconductive material and invented a process to produce new translucent resin concrete products. Then it used the average light transmittance and thermal conductivity to evaluate the translucent thermal insulation properties and performance capabilities of translucent concrete respectively, and quantified the energy-saving effect of certain products through experiments and numerical simulation. Finally, products’mechanical properties and the mutual influence between the photoconductive and collective materials were studied through cube compression testing and stone flexural strength testing. The specific research contents are as follows:(1) Taking the transparent resin and self-compacting mortars as raw materials, this present thesis prepared a new novel light-transmitting concrete product by using self-designed production equipment and production technology. The whole process is characterized by simple equipment and processing, low production costs, and high production efficiency.(2) Based on the translucent properties of the resin material, a plate-like translucent resin concrete product is designed. Then the lighting conditions of laboratories that used this product and the off time of light-controlled lighting devices were analyzed with the help of Ecotect software.(3) The average thermal conductivity of the plate-like products is obtained through experiments and finite element simulation. Besides, the thermal environment of translucent resin concrete-walled and other types of common glass-walled laboratories are analyzed and compared. Then by comparing the energy consumption of different curtain walls the thermal insulation capacity of wall sheets is assessed.(4) First, influences of the number, the size and the roughness of branches on compressive strength of cube products are studied respectively through cube compressive strength tests. Then, the effects of light guide on the flexural strength of cement matrix is researched by comparing the bending strength of cement mortar sheet products and the translucent concrete products. Results show that resin material weakens both the compressive and flexural properties of the matrix, and this weakening is positively correlated to the amount of resin materials. Moreover, the effect of surface roughness of light bodies on products’ overall compression bearing capacity is not significantly.
