Concrete material is one of primary construction materials currently. At present,the research on concrete is mainly focusing on the mechanical property and crackresistance. However, the accelerating urbanization causes the surge of urbanpopulation, leading to the scarcity of land resources, dense buildings and less spacebetween buildings. This triggers insufficient lighting and sufficient illumination timecannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the research on photoconductive concrete is ofextreme importance, not only in terms of improving lighting conditions and savingenergy, but of being a kind of decoration as well.This paper tested the mechanical property and translucent of photoconductiveresin concrete. It analyzed the impact mechanism of interface between special resinand cement mortar matrix regarding to the mechanical property of photoconductiveresin concrete via a series of appropriate measures like smearing epoxy glue on theinterface to augment the adhesion between cement mortar and resin. Through strengthtest, UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer, XRD and EXEM, this article studied themechanical property, translucent, durability and morphology of photoconductive resinconcrete and got conclusions below:1. Special resin should be selected in order to produce photoconductive resinconcrete with high transmittance and impressive mechanical property. This resinwould have direct impact on the selection of abrasive materials and would increasethe possibility of producing photoconductive resin concrete with good performance.2. The mould of less adhesion with resin should be selected. The raw materialsof mould would affect the degree of difficulty in the stripping from transparent resinplate unit. If the adhesion between the mould and cured resin was extremely strong,difficulty in stripping would occur and resin itself would be damaged.3. The anti-pressure ability of photoconductive resin concrete is related to theadhesion of the interface between resin and cement mortar matrix. When epoxy gluewas smeared on the interface, the anti-pressure ability had been improved significantly. Thus, selecting a special and proper binder smeared on the interface ofresin and cement mortar is rather crucial.4. Comparing to the fiber Light-transimitting concrete, Resin light conductionconcrete possesses high transmittance, low cost and simple preparation method.
