With the increase in global automotive amount, the pollution caused by emissions from the combustion of the internal combustion engine has become a major factor in air pollution. In recent years, with the environment deteriorating, people are more and more concern about the natural environment, this is also poses a severe test to the internal combustion engine technology. The lubrication system is an important part of a internal combustion engine, have a significant impact for internal combustion engine efficiency and reduce emissions.Taking a example on an eight-cylinder turbocharged medium speed diesel engine lubrication system design, conducted intensive research and analysis for the diesel engine lubrication system. In this paper, firstly introduced the structure and the structure’s ructions in this type of diesel engine, then take a presentation of the entire distribution of oil, and introduced a number of fluid mechanics theory, which is involves the diesel engine lubrication system, to make a foundation for our follow-up simulation and analysis. In this article, we build one dimensional simulation analysis by Flowmaster, which is based on the data provided by the locomotive factory. Firstly, to simulate the engine lubrication system under 1000r/min, to get the distribution of flow and pressure, and then take the simulation under different speed and observe the distribution of the oil pressure and flow.Through simulation analysis of the original design, the pressure drop in the main bearing is too large, and the oil pressure and flow is too low at the camshaft. To adjust the main bearing clearance to optimize the lubrication system. After the simulation, we can find that reducing by 10% of the main bearing clearance can increase the pressure and flow at the camshaft, and increased the pressure of the main oil, than analyzed the properties of the oil pump. |
