The lubrication system of an engine is important for reliable engine operation,which is responsible for the transmission of heat-receiving parts,variable force timing,and other mechanisms.It reduces friction and wears between components,removes heat generated by friction,and washes mechanical impurities generating by friction and can also effectively reduce the corrosive wear on the surface of the cylinder block.The working state of the lubrication system is closely related to the performance and reliability of the engine.If the design of the lubrication system is unreasonable,it will seriously affects the mechanical efficiency and service life of the engine,so that is important to design and verify the lubrication system.Based on the engineering practice,the paper designed a lubrication system for a 1.5L direct injection gasoline engine and conducted experimental research.The main parameters of the lubrication system such as engine circulation oil volume,oil pressure and supply capacity of oil pump are determined,which provide basic data for simulation analysis of lubrication system.Based on the FLOWMASTER software,the simulated calculation model of the lubrication system was established.Through the simulated calculation and analysis,the pressure distribution and flow distribution at each part of the lubricating oil circuit were obtained,which provided theoretical guidance for the improvement of the performance of the oil pump.Key components of the lubrication system are designed,including oil pan components and oil pump.During the design of the oil pan,it has checked the distance between the liquid level and the crankshaft under refueling conditions,evaluated whether the oil screen sucked the air when the minimum fuel,and analyzed the modes that oil pan with oil or without by simulation.The material and type of the oil pump were determined,and the oil pump was subjected to fluid analysis,modal analysis and strength analysis,which was theoretically demonstrated that the performance of the oil pump can meet the requirements.The oil pressure distribution of the lubrication system was tested by the test-correction-design-retest method.The test results show that the oil pressure of each key component meets the lubrication requirements,and the low temperature cold start can meet the requirements.
