With the continuous improvement of computer graphics rendering technique, the simulation of high realistic complicated infrared scene became possible, and the infrared scene simulation technology is getting more and more important in military simulation. The studying indexes of the targets involves in type, number, fineness, etc. and of the background contains type, size, scale, computational efficiency, etc. in the infrared scene. The addition of infrared shadow to the infrared scene simulation increases the fidelity of the infrared image simulation.For calculating the temperature of the shadow in infrared scene, first of all, this paper studies the calculation model of ground background surface temperature field with occlusion from the perspective of theory modeling. Then, the two-dimensional temperature field distribution of ground background is solved using the finite difference method. While this method can't accurately calculate the infrared shadow temperature of dynamic light sources and dynamic target formation, So the method that uses the measured data fitting the variation with shadow area temperature is introduced, which records the variation trend of the different materials with temperature changes over time under occlusion, and fitting formula in GPU programming according to the variation trend. Next, this paper calculates the shadow temperature of targets in the OGRE platform, and simulates the shadows of the targets such as the building, ships, aircraft, etc. under different radiation source irradiation using the texture shadow and template shadow technology. Moreover, a variety of different targets' simulation of dynamic shadow under multi-period, a variety of sources, and different backgrounds of land, sea, air. Finally the simulation results is analyzed and validated, the shadow calculation module is added to the infrared simulation platform for improving the precision of the simulation.
