With the rapid development of social economy and the rapid expansion of city scale, great progress has been made in street lamp industry in our country. However, a variety of problems occur in urban road lighting management, and traditional street lamp management mode is not suitable for modernization of urban road lighting management. In the context of the construction of smart city, an urban road lighting management system with characteristics of feasibility, efficiency and stability, used to achieve the goal of urban road intelligent lighting, is helpful to solve current problems in the field of lighting management.The urban road lighting management system is composed of three parts. Lower computer system is used to collect data from single lamp and gateway and control them. C/S terminal communication software is used for data reception, analysis and storage, and the system platform based on B/S framework, mainly discussed in this paper, is developed to carry on comprehensive analysis of data and present data in visualization.Firstly, based on the comprehensive analysis of the project background and the research status at home and abroad in the field of lighting, functional requirements and non-functional requirements are analyzed, and system model is established by using UML modeling method. Secondly, according to the goal, principle and thought of system development, the technical architecture of the system is designed. Thus, the overall design of the system is completed. Thirdly, on the basis of WebGIS used to realize the visualization of system, various functional modules of the system are designed in detail. According to the general principles and steps of database design, then the database of the system is designed. Thus, the detailed design of the system is completed. Fourthly, this paper briefly introduces the development environment of the system, and the main functions and interfaces of each module of the system are described in detail. Fifthly, the functions and performance of the system are tested, and the application effect of the system in municipal engineering is analyzed and explained. Finally, the work of this paper is summarized, and the extended research contents of the system are discussed as well.
