Ancient Chinese architecture is the essence of Chinese culture across the five thousand years. It is also an important model of traditional Chinese material and non-material cultural fusion and a symbol of ancient people’s wisdom and diligence. It embodies a concentrated reflection of the inheritance and development of the excellent Chinese ancient culture in history, culture, science and technology, art and so on.Archway, is a by single row or multi row column and lateral frontal square and other components by tenon and mortise connection and open signs of ancient buildings. As the early origins of ancient buildings, before the archway appears time can be traced back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties of Qin and Han Dynasty. There are many different kinds of archway, stone archway because of its construction materials for the stone, its own weight, large volume, carving, the magnificent, the only significant heavy vigorous breath, although after thousands of years can still basically preserved, with exuberant vitality.Based on the history of the development of ancient stone archway structure and structural features of the large archway analysis of stone archway structure of each component structure and mechanical properties were analyzed and summarized. Specifically, respectively on the stone archway structure layout, stone archway structure system, stone archway brackets and clip stone bar, bird for, mortise and tenon joint, the concrete by the study on mechanical properties, so as to get the stone archway in the overall layout, decorative appearance, component production, joint connection of imitate the ancient wooden archway construction method, but due to the large stone weight. It is not easy for mortise and tenon connection and component fabrication difficulty is greater, the brackets, parts of the carving and stone archway brackets to absorb seismic energy consumption, reducing the seismic responses of the building roof effective than ancient wooden square. Stone and stone arch and transverse architrave connection was the wooden structure there are some differences. This paper to the Tiantai stone arch, for example, using finite element analysis software MIDAS / Gen mechanical behavior under the action of seismic analysis of stone arch model, node components in connection with six direction stiffness of the springs of stone arch structure of mortise tenon joint is simplified through, and with reference to a large number of relevant data and academic papers on Simulation of tenon and mortise joint spring stiffness coefficients are corrected. By using modal analysis, response spectrum analysis method framework stone archway building firm, times building architrave and the main pillar connection less firm, and draw the clamping rod stone pillar to the lateral supporting role, on the stone arch structure is stable to great effect; time history analysis of stone arch of, through the finite element model of stone arch respectively input frequent earthquake and rare encounter the EL-Centro earthquake wave, Taft earthquake wave and Artificial earthquake wave, the stone arch structure of that stone arch structure repair reinforced parts.Through the finite element model of the mechanical behavior of Tiantai Mountain stone arch structure under seismic action analysis and investigation of Tiantai Mountain stone arch structure to destabilize the status quo, in the ancient building repair principles based on, combined with the special methods and reinforcement of its own characteristics and restoration of ancient buildings, of stone arch repair plan was for research and for the future repairing and protecting the ancient stone arch structure to provide a new perspective, and the antique play a certain reference role stone arch structure design.
