At present,a number of hyperbolic arch dams have been built in southwest China,but because of the large number of strong seismic zones in southwest China,it is easy to cause damage to the dam body in the event of strong earthquakes,which will seriously threaten the lives of the people in the lower reaches and affect the normal operation in serious cases.It will also bring inestimable secondary disasters,so it is necessary to carry out research to improve the seismic performance of arch dams.Taking the arch dam structure of the Baihetan Hydropower Station as an example,the seismic response is analyzed and the seismic reinforcement measures are evaluated by using finite element software.The concrete work is as follows:(1)The seismic reinforcement measures of arch dam are studied.In this paper,arch and beam reinforcement are used to improve the seismic performance of arch dam,and the dynamic responses of reinforced arch dam and unreinforced arch dam under different working conditions are compared and analyzed.By comparing the maximum damage value,deformation and opening after earthquake,it is concluded that the damage value will be reduced after reinforcement,and the damage range will also be narrowed in distribution.The comparison in other aspects also shows that reinforcement is very effective in strengthening the seismic effect of arch dam.The necessity of reinforcement to improve the safety of dam body is verified.(2)Whether the additional structure should be considered in the dynamic analysis of concrete dam,this paper simulates the pier on the upper and lower surface of the dam body by using finite element software,and makes a comparative analysis of the whole model under different working conditions.After considering the pier,the damage and opening in the area near the pier are large,but the distribution of damage value in other parts is not different from that in other parts without considering the influence of pier,so it can be seen that the damage value distribution in other parts is similar to that in other parts without considering the influence of pier.If the research direction is to observe the effect of reinforcement on improving the seismic performance of arch dam,the pier can not be considered,but if the dynamic response of local area is to be observed,the influence of pier on arch dam must be considered.(3)Reinforced concrete structure is widely used in practical engineering.If we can simulate the bond between steel bar and concrete more accurately,the accuracy of result analysis will be improved.Based on this,the bond effect between steel bar and concrete is considered in this paper,and the bond effect between them is simulated by strengthening the constitution of concrete,and the results are compared with those without considering bond action.It is found that after considering the bond action,the seismic effect of the steel bar is more obvious.
