Concrete face rockfill dam appeared in the middle of the nineteenth century.After more than a hundred years,it had got the attention of the whole word.The concrete face rockfill dam had become an important dam type in the construction of China's water conservancy project.However,tradition method of design for concrete face rockfill dam is inefficient and difficult to get the best design.Therefore,it is necessary to study the optimization design of concrete face rockfill dam.Optimization design of structure is related to optimization method and structural analysis method.At first,the optimization design methods of structure and its' improvement are introduced in this paper,such as Augmented Lagrange Method and Improved Genetic Algorithm.Secondly,the theory and application of the FEM method are expounded,and the suitable constitutive model is selected for the earthrock material.Then,a mathematical model of optimization design is established for concrete face rockfill dam: taking the geometric control parameters of the dam as the optimization design variable,the volume of the dam body as the optimization objective function,the stress and deformation of the panel as the constraint conditions,using Augmented Lagrange Method to obtain the best design scheme.Finally,the finite element method is used to analyze the structure of optimizing before and after optimization concrete face rockfill dam,and the corresponding displacement and stress are obtained.The results show that the optimization method is applied to the design of concrete face rockfill dam,which can improve the efficiency and reduce the project cost.The results of finite element analysis show that the optimized design scheme and the original design scheme can meet the safety and applicability of the dam.Because the optimized design scheme reduces the total project cost and improves the design efficiency,it is a development direction of structure design that the optimization method is applied to the design of concrete face rockfill dam,and it is worth popularization and application.
