The Narrative Construction Of Courtyard Space

Courtyard is an architectural space which can express emotion at leisure and get in touch with nature since human beings have a place to live. There is evidence that courtyard can complement the space of contemporary building spiritual civilization level. Narration,as a subjective behavior of human beings,is a basic way to congnize the world and yourself and implies the internal relations between human emotion and space essence as well. Narration provides a new perspective to create courtyard space which can transmit traditional culture and regional characteristics. This paper describes the specific methods of the courtyard space's narrative construction from two angles of the narrator and the narrate.Then it is synthetically explored and analyzed the typology, semeiology and phenomenology on the base of the narrative theory and got the thinking mode of the courtyard space's narrative construction.Finaly this paper summarized the theory and method of the courtyard space's narrative construction.
