With the maturing and developing of high-speed rail technology, high-speed rail has replaced gradually major traditional rail lines. Because of the constant improvement of the train speed, the requirements about the smoothness of the rails become more and more strict, especially track vertical irregularity. Theoretical research and engineering practice has proved that the track vertical irregularity is the main factors of vehicles vibration, wheel forces increasing and driving speed limiting. Therefore, further study of track irregularity of railway transport industry is of great significance. Nowadays most devices detect the track irregularity with chord-based method. It design the inverse filter based on the frequency sampling method for recovering the distortion waveform which has a large amount of calculation and ignores the effect of pretreatment process, The real-time performance and accuracy of the track irregularity detection system are not high. In order to reflect the real track irregularities, under the background of the central state-owned capital operating budget expenditure item "rail high efficiency lightweight milling operation system", This paper studies track vertical irregularity detection method and the signal data processing technology.The main contents of the paper are as follows:1) We set up track vertical irregularity experiment platform which provides reliable experimental data for the subsequent signal processing algorithm research.2) Track vertical irregularity detection and data processing method is researched in three aspects of detection signals acquisition, preprocessing, digital filtering processing. In the preprocessing of track irregularity signal, in view of the trend of nonlinear signal, this paper proposes a sparse optimization method based on wavelet transform. The method calculates the l1 norm sparse optimal solution to reconstruct the trend of signal by setting two boundary constraints, In the recovery phase, we propose a new method which is based on least squares (LS) to dealing with the issue is proposed. It becomes easier than the frequency sampling method with only concerning the amplitude frequency response at the key points and the symmetry of the impulse response.3) According to the rail grinding measurement and evaluation standard BS EN 13231-06, Signal is decomposed into wavelength range in 30-100 mm,100-300 mm, 300-1000-mm waveform by designing FIR filter. We evaluate the vertical irregularity of the track by combining PPR or RMS. Comparison of the test data of track irregularity inspection system and static test data of rail corrugation scale, verify the accuracy of the results of the detection system by RMS.
