Heat dissipation system of distribution transformer is an important guarantee to ensure the normal operation of the transformer. It can effectively reduce the operating temperature of the transformer.At present, some early transformer cooling system in substation has been unable to meet the needs of the normal operation of the transformer, it is urgent need to upgrade its cooling system to meet the operational requirements of the transformer. This paper designs a new type of air cooling control system, through the use of DSP28335 controller, advanced sensor and power electronic devices, making the air cooling control system can realize the real-time monitoring of transformer operation. It can meet the operation requirements of unattended substation.In this paper, it designs the scheme of transformer air cooling device.It compares the heating process and the heat transfer process of the transformer, and it is found that the effect of air convection and heat conduction is significant. Finally, it determines the form of air cooled heat dissipation. It introduces the regulations of the air cooling control in the operation of the power transformer, and the basic requirements of the design of the cooling system. On the basis of analyzing the demand of the new type air cooling speed regulation system, it determines the function of each part of the system. It focuses on the analysis of the concrete realization of the various functional requirements, the comparison and selection of the processor, the transformer operating temperature detection, fan speed control and main and standby power supply automatic switching function design is introduced, and the hardware design schematic diagram. Through the analysis, it is confirmed that the system needs to increase the function of remote data transmission, and ensure that the substation system can obtain the running state of the transformer in real time. Finally, it ensures that the system can automatically control the wind turbine according to the information such as temperature, humidity and the time of the cooling fan.It determines the control method and the control strategy of the system, analyzes the software design of the air cooling control system. It respectively design each function subroutine, including temperature acquisition subsystem program, velocity control subroutine, the speed closed-loop control procedures, manual operation and automatic operation switching subprogram and RS-485 communication subroutine.It analyzes the debugging and commissioning of the air cooling system, and introduces the check and debug of the circuit board. It introduces the testing system of temperature and humidity in the laboratory environment, and the debugging and testing operation of the application field. Through the heat before and after the cooling system to compare the cooling effect of the ratio, it determines the cooling system effect is obvious. The air cooling control system designed in this paper works well, which can meet the needs of the transformer operation.
