On The Islamic Culture Of Guangta Street

Guangzhou is an international metropolis that full of inclusive spirit.All the major religions of the world have gathered here to form a symbiotic and harmonious blend of harmony scene.Guangzhou is the first leg of Islam to enter the Chinese mainland,for example.Huaisheng Mosque is one of the earliest C hinese mosque minaret which was once a landmark in Guangzhou,so that a strong Islamic culture at Guangta Street has been subjected to government,academic,research agencies and community attention.In this paper,for the Minaret Street fieldwork points collecting through literature,questionnaires,participant observation,in-depth interviews and other methods of investigation and study of Islamic cult ure,the status of Islamic Culture at Guangta Street will be described in detail.On this basis,the article introduces a new Paradigm of religious studies-religious ecological theory to analyze how Islamic culture is compatible with other religious and cultural heritage still live in a complex environment.The first chapter is "Introduction",which explains the reasons of the topic,defines key concepts,reviews existing research,and sets out the methods used in the investigation.The second chapter describes the religious ecological system at Guangta Street that focus on indigenous religions(Taoism,Han C hinese folk religion)and exotic religions(Islam,Protestantism)in this area.The third chapter tells that Huaisheng Mosque(including the Minaret)and Shops run by Muslims,gatehouse,Lane Street building minaret study for presenting Islamic culture.C hapter IV over Islam shops,supermarkets and restaurants halal and description of the relevant personnel,showed the economic dimension of Islamic culture at Guangta Street.The fifth chapter accounts that Huaisheng Mosque,Islam’s main rituals and their operating cycle,and then focus on the Anniversary of Fatimah’s Death.Chapter VI takes Islamic cultural heritage core group of imams and Islamic charity culture main force "volunteer team" as the object of observation,showing the cultural community of Islam Minaret Street.C hapter VII makes a brief summary about some main research findings from the first chapter to the sixth chapter,and then the author analyzes the phenomenon about difficult to step into the Mosque,and finally,this chapter puts foward some reasons to explain the harmounious coexistence between the Islamic culture and other cultures at Guangta Street.Through the deep investigation about the well-known Guangta Street in the metropolis,this thesis shows many aspects of Islamic culture in this area and this area shows the religious cultural pluralism,and tries to construct the ecosystem in this area.In addition,the author hopes to provide a reliable case study about urban Islamic culture for academia.
