With the rapid development of China's electric power industry, the power grid structure is increasingly complex, and the power load is constantly hit a new high, resulting in the power system in the short circuit current surge, threatening the safe and stable operation of power grid.Firstly, this paper combines the domestic and foreign research results to summarize the method of limiting short-circuit current level, and analyzes the applicable conditions, leads to the regional power grid current limiting measures should start with changing the grid operation.Directed against the face of western Henan power grid short-circuit current exceeding the outstanding problems, combined with specific wiring mode of Henan power grid, put forward a variety of changes in operation mode, the current limiting scheme, and according to the west of Henan Province specific power transmission comprehensive comparison, choose the optimal operation scheme, Xiaolangdi Hydropower Plant denominator operation and flow calculation and verification, and concluded that this mode of operation may encounter problems and solutions.This paper illustrates the specific measures for the implementation of the bus splitting operation scheme, through a variety of possible fault analysis, draw the Xiaolangdi Hydropower Plant optimal operation mode for the unit. On power grid dispatching personnel proposed new work requirements, the preparation of a bus splitting operation plan with the accident, has provided the technical support and scientific guidance for the change mode of operation.
