Study On Application Of Warm Mix Rubber Asphalt Mixture

The performance of asphalt concrete pavement needs to be improved and the treatment o f old tires is a problem demanding prompt solutions,combining the treatment of old rubber a nd performance improvement of asphalt,in order to decrease producing cost of modified asph alt and give new specific performance to it is an effective way to reuse non-renewable resourc es which combines energy saving,environmental protection and new product development to gether.However,rubber powder modified asphalt has a high viscosity and the mixture require s a high temperature(up to 190?)during construction,it brings some difficulties in steps of mixture,transportation and lamination and hugely increases the cost.Study and application of warm mix rubber asphalt mixture technology is a key to solve those difficulties.This article tries to solve the difficulties of high viscosity of rubber asphalt at constructio n temperature via analyzing effects of warm mix asphalt modifiers on performance of rubber asphalt and choosing proper warm mix modifiers;via research on performance of warm mix r ubber asphalt and warm mix rubber asphalt mixture,finding out methods to improve perform ance of old rubber powder modified asphalt pavement,solving the key technology of promoti ng rubber powder modified asphalt,in order to fully use resources,improve performance of a sphalt pavement and reduce environmental pollution.The results of said research project woul d provide good references on highway construction,especially pavement construction in the future.
