In recent years, the global earthquake occurred frequently, based on the previous damage survey found that in addition to the casualties and the loss of public property, the exhibition of Museum relics of the earthquake damage is very serious. Effective protection measures of foreign cultural relics museum exhibition is the application of various isolation device, the design principle of many kinds of isolation device is the principle model of friction pendulum, while there are few domestic research and app-lication related.Firstly research characteristics of the friction pendulum principle model, combined with earthquake protection requirements of Museum cultural relics. Based on friction pendulum principle model, put forward the sliding friction pendulum model, and carries on the theoretical analysis. The results show that slid-ing friction pendulum principle model is more suitable for earthquake pro-tection of cultural relics in the museum exhibition.Then respectively based on friction pendulum and sliding friction pendulum model produced two kinds of isolation devices, and separately carries on the dynamic test using the WS-Z30 small precision of seismic simulation shaking table, and compared two kinds of isolation devices of dynamic performance, the test result are in agreement with the previous theoretical research.In addition, for integrity and connection accuracy affect the isolation performance, then improved the design of the sliding friction pendulum isolator and experiment again. The results show that the isolation device improved is better in isolation performance, and provides suggestions for the optimal design of isolation device.Finally, in order to further research on the isolation effectiveness of optimal sliding friction pendulum isolation device, a museum as an example, through the field vibration test determined the frequency range of dynamic load that the exhibition of Museum relics may be subject to, then determine the possible earthquake effect combined with the relevant specifications. Then test the improved sliding friction pendulum isolator device with the three directions and six degree freedom of seismic simulation shaking table based on it. The results show that the isolation effectiveness of the isolation device is better.
