The Study Of Residential Areas Along Rail Transit

As many cities have urshred in the great age of trail transit with the acceleration of urbanization,I proceed a fundamental research of Nanjing residential space along the rail transit.When a new rail transit planted into an old district aroud with diffrent living patterns or planted into a new district,the rail transit guided urban development of spatial structure change and enhanced the accessibility of land along the line in the same time.For the design method of residential space along the rail transit and the study is helpful to the rationality of the residential areas along the line,which is also helpful through the effective integration to realize the sustainable development.The methods used in this study is based on the domestic and overseas studies related theories of the living space and the rail transit.With the guidance of TOD and Maslow's hierarchy of needs,analysising the integrations between city constructions,rail transit and living space,which founded problems on-the-spot investigation to find out forms of residential areas along rail trasit.I carried out the field investigation of the living space in the influence area of seven typical sites in Nanjing subway line one and line two.Summarise the needs to change in four aspects which are living districts,living environment,living patterns and living conditions. Finally,combined theory and practice to optimize the design method respectively which have strong theoretical and practical significance.
