The embedded large-cylinder structure has strong applicability for soft soil foundation,which of quality and property are closely related to the settlement of the structure. The traditional calculation method applies to the elastic-plastic behavior, regardless of viscosity of soil, that is the inapplicability to reflect long-term settlement of soil foundation. Based on rheological theory of littoral soft clay soil, the paper researches the creep settlement of large cylinder structure and the influence factors on settlement.Firstly, this paper establishes elastic-plastic and time-harding model to simulate the deformation behavior of soil. A numerical model simulates the indoor triaxial test to validate model parameter is correct and accurate. Further, a three-dimensional numerical model of large cylinder structures based on the finite element software ABAQUS, is established to obtain the creep settlement development on the 10 years. Furthermore, the paper discusses how the factors to influence the settlement, such as the diameter of cylinder structure, embedded depth, external load and layout of structure. Finally, a dimensionless parameter is defined to reflect the variation of creep settlement when factors change.Based on the result of simulating models, the paper finds following conclusion. The creep settlement of large cylinder structure increases with the increase of the diameter of cylinder structure. The creep settlement decreases with the increase of the embedded depth. The creep settlement increases with the increase of the external load. The creep settlement increases with the increase of the external load. The creep settlement of a single large cylinder structure is smaller than the rows of structures, one row of structures is smaller than two rows one.According to the conclusion, there are some advice to design and engineer. The economical and efficient way to decrease the creep settlement is to reduce the large diameter of the structure and increase the embedded depth.
