| Lightning is a natural unavoidable discharge phenomenon which usually causes serious damage to the ground objects or personal injury due to its lightning current or electromagnetic induction. Sometimes the loss of this hazard is extremely large. With the rapid development of technology, electrical and electronic equipments are widely used in modern buildings and have become inseparable parts of a building. The electrical and electronic components are becoming more sensitive. This makes them more vulnerable to the infringement of lightning which will cause increasing direct or indirect loss. Therefore, in order to prevent or reduce the harm of lightning, it is necessary to research on the generation mechanisms of infringement caused by lightning and design or implement lightning protection systems for the buildings.The buildings’ lightning protection problem is an integrated engineering system which involves multiple disciplines. So far, there are many theories and methods for lightning protection in the world, but have not unified and have not found a very effective method; although our country has promulgated the corresponding norms and rules and constantly updated to improve, there still couldn’t fully meet all requirements for the design and implementation of lightning protection for buildings. This thesis analyzed and summarized the dominant factors of lighting protection system for building systematically and put forward more standardized the implementation of design steps and methods, which are based on based on the existing research results and the combination with the engineering practice of my own experienceThe contribution of this paper is presented as follows:Firstly, the main dominant design factors of lightning protection system for building, which is based on the in-depth analysis of the failure mechanism of lightning current and electromagnetic field by lightning that is on the base of the study of he physical mechanism of lightning generating process and the three main forms, are summarizedSecondly, the basic norms for lightning protection measures and the protection measures for lightning and induction lightning and spherical thunder is summarized, which is based on the above analysis and research.Thirdly, lightning protection system for building is introduced through the example of projects design and implementation, which is consist of general situation and position and meteorologic condition and so on. The necessity and the classification and the system protection level of lightning protection for building is obtained which is based on the above analysis. Finally, the concrete design and implementation is carried on, which is based on the above analysis.The results of this subject provides a systematic and standardized design and implementation step for the design and implementation of lightning protection system for building,which has a certain significance and can bring certain social benefits and economic benefits. |
