The general purpose engine industry is growing rapidly in China and the exporting numbers are increasing sharply in recent years. At the same time, users have higher and higher demands for the purpose engine quality, especially for the noise. The control of engine noise level is as one of the critical evaluation criteria for the modern engine performance. To carry out engine noise research, to explore noise control method and measures have important realistic meaning and practical value.This research is based on 390ml(G390FA) general purpose engine, focusing on the crankshaft gears engagement status, combining with the experiments and theories, the main research contents include:1. The summary of the noise and vibration research status both domestic and overseas. The expatiate gap between China and developed countries.2. Adopting with the modern measuring technologies, performing vibration and noise analysis and diagnosis for the G390 FA engine, to identify engine vibration noise sources. The research is mainly for the engine internal gears engagement mechanical noises.3. To analysis the engine gears engagement in details, improving and optimizing engaging gears. Performing the further tests and analysis, verify the improved method and design results.This research provides a certain reference value for the other similar general purpose engines vibration and noise controlling, also provides the support for company other products development works with practical model.
