Centrifugal compressor plays an important role in all sectors of the national economy, especially in the industries of metallurgy, petrochemical, natural gas transportation, refrigeration, power and so on.For the influence of variable condition of the study on the flow field in a centrifugal compressor impeller, this paper in a centrifugal compressor as the research object, by changing the inlet flow of centrifugal compressor size and change the centrifugal compressor impeller rotational speed by can be realized ?-? two equation model of centrifugal compressor unsteady numerical simulation of the whole flow passage. The distribution of the relative velocity under different inlet flow rate and rotating speed of the internal flow field in centrifugal compressor is calculated by, to calculate the separation loss region, the statistical data by using single channel relative velocity discrete distribution method. At the same time, the separation loss concept analysis of separating the losses in the flow passage of the impeller. The results show that the change of the angle of the impeller under the condition of variable condition is the primary factor that causes the separation loss. Therefore in the actual production process, in order to reduce the separation loss, should be appropriate to reduce the size of the impact angle, increase the flow of imports or impeller rotation speed.
