Power cable with good electrical properties and in the field of power grids has been universal input and use, at the same time, power cable insulation performance status had a direct impact on the power system security and stability. To maintain the grid stable operation of the health, you need to power electric cable insulation, operation conditions were real-time monitoring,, online monitoring system emerges as the times require. At the same time, we to protecting layer circulation online monitoring system design and research, used for real-time monitoring of power cable insulation condition and through the LabVIEW simulation test. It is proved that the the feasibility of this system and the practical application.First, on cable online monitoring system of the research background and significance, research status at home and abroad are introduced, and pointed out that in the process of designing the system difficulties made the statement, and we are going to solve these difficulties based on the expected results and possible innovation. Motivated by the need to design and research, we in the basic structure of cable, laying, induction voltage and current mechanism are summarized in detail. At the same time, the protective layer of induction voltage circulation were calculated and deduced.Then, through the research of data processing and transmission, decided to use the fluxgate sensor to collect the current analog signal, after the STM32 microprocessor data processing. Then, through the GPRS wireless transmission of front-end data collected for transmitting finally reaches the background monitoring center, for the cable sheath circulation study on planning and design of online monitoring. Mainly adopts the analysis module test and assembling the integration by part to the overall design method, basically reached the expectations.The system consists of data acquisition, analysis and calculation, wireless transmission and background processing four modules. Firstly, the remote monitoring terminal hardware are designed, the hardware circuit is composed of data acquisition circuit, STM32 series microprocessor and GPRS DTU communication module, is a collection of current sensor conditioning circuit, embedded STM32 main control chip. GPRS DTU wireless transmission equipment and power supply system, then the design of computer software, the software is composed of data acquisition A/D conversion program, GPS program and GPRS data transceiver program. On the computer using the LabVIEW software developed by American NI company, is a professional engineering application software, to facilitate the development and programming of system interface, application development and database using SQL software, the design of the system with data acquisition, analysis, transmission, receiving and real-time display and The limit alarm, fault location, database access settings function. After the completion of the system design, software is tested by the LabVIEW simulation of the whole system tested can very good real-time acquisition support layer circulation data and the lower position machine data timely upload to PC database processing center, and remote monitoring and control of the PC terminal or mobile phone, each module results show that can meet the design requirements.
