With the upgrade of avionics systems, integrated modular system has become the development trend of avionics systems, and the key factor which ensure aviation safety is the performance of the communication bus. Therefore, the bus must have efficient, accurate and reliable information transfer capacity. ARINC659 bus is a linear multi-node serial communication bus, its performances meet the needs of avionics system,but very few domestic research on ARINC659 bus,create an urgent need to build a complete communication system under laboratory condition to reduce the failure when a large number of communication is in progress occurs between the actual airborne equipment, and reduce the time of fault location.In order to achieve each node in avionics system to communicate reliably and efficiently. In this paper, according to aviation back-plane communication ARINC659 bus protocol standard, based on the analysis of the results of previous studies on the backplane bus, design and implement a new scheme based on the ARINC659 communication bus.Firstly,the paper study the characteristics, structure and protocol principle of ARINC659 back-plane bus. Secondly, it introduces the domestic ARINC659 bus protocol processing chip HK659 and PCI bus briefly. Finally, it introduces the chip as the core of the bus interface board design and the entire system hardware circuit design. The hardware part of the communication system includes: chassis, four-node communication boards and so on. In addition, the paper also describes the software design idea and realization based on the communication system.In this paper, the CPU card is adopted to test and stimulate various properties on the communication system designed. By detecting the System performance through the logic analyzer, the results show that the communication system achieve the desired functionality accurately and reliably, it proves that the bus communication system has good practical value and broad application prospects.
