Research On Configuration Tools Of Substation Equipment State Monitoring Based On SCL

With further development of Internet, communication and information technology, condition monitoring of substation equipment will be systematically integrated, forming intelligent equipment management system in the basis of condition monitoring. However, various subsystems lack of organic links between each other, there is no practical object model and description, moreover, each manufacturer designs intelligent equipments according to their own understandings, which result in many complex problems on interoperability between different systems.IEC61850, as the unique international communication standard, defines the uniform information model and the unified tag configuration language, introduces IEC61850into the integrated platform of condition monitoring of substation equipments, solves the heterogeneous online monitoring system, provides unified information models and configuration tools, achieving true interoperability. Part6of the standard includes substation configuration description language SCL (Substation Configuration Description Language), which is used to describe the configuration information of intelligent electronic devices (IED Intelligent Electronic Device) for substation, achieving interoperability between different manufacturers’devices. This paper, based on SCL specification in IEC61850-6standard, designs and develops configuration tools of substation intelligent devices, to monitor the status information of substation’s intelligent devices, achieving interoperability between different devices.This paper analyzed and researched the IEC61850standard, including the introduction of standards, the core content and the implementation process of standards. And the paper describes some modeling principles of IEC61850-7standards, discusses the main content of SCL, analyzes the description of hierarchical data model and the principle and function of the configuration tool for the SCL, gives the overall model for the configuration tool. The paper based on data model defined in SCL designs and achieves the configuration tool of intelligent substation equipments by using VC++. The tool provides a visual editing interface and can configures and browses SCL document easily. In the End of the paper, with a traction substation in the actual project as the example, generates the ICD documents for describing the ability of IED, according to the main wiring diagram of the actual device.The process of Substation configuration includes two types of configurators. They are System Configurator and IED configurator. This paper mainly focuses on the design and realization of IED Configuration tool. And it is a part of IEC61850standard in the engineering applications. The IED Configuration tool meeting the IEC61850standards has positive significance in the application project.
