| Water resource has always been an important natural resource and material basis for local economic developments.As the requirement for water resource increases,the problem of how to reasonably taking advantage of water resource has become more and more urgent and seriously confines the development of human beings,hence the industrial water-saving program is an inevitable problem in our nation’s water-saving project.Effectively using as well as saving water resource are not only the requirements of domestic economic but also environment protection.Cooling tower enables the industrial water to exchange heat with air that flows into it,which can cool down the water and makes it recyclable.In order to research the thermal performance of cooling tower with mechanical ventilation,this paper first implements analysis on the working principles,movements of the water as well as the process of heat exchange of the cooling tower bases on the numerical simulation research of it,then establishes models of the cooling tower using Gambit,and meshes the model with the help of ICEM.Finally,this paper runs calculations on the fields of pressure,velocity and temperature of the air inside the cooling tower as well as the path of motion of the water drops inside it.This paper also analyzes the changes of fields of pressure,velocity and temperature inside the cooling tower by changing the velocities of the wind inlet.What’s more,by changing the water spray height and keeping other parameters abide,this paper implements analysis on the relationships between changes of the fields of pressure,velocity,temperature inside the cooling tower,the temperature of water outlet and the water spray height.The conclusions of this paper offer valuable suggestions on the optimal design and selections of working conditions of the cooling tower with mechanical ventilation. |
