Although acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive has excellent properties and had been used widely, but it still has the great problem in residual glues' removing during usage. So prepare a kind of erasable type acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive which could erasable quickly by water has very important signification.This study explores the influence of the contents of hydrophilic functional monomer 2-Acrylanmido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid(AMPS) on the erasable ability, water resistance and cohesiveness of pressure sensitive adhesive, the effects of the kinds and contents of soft and hard monomers on the glass transition temperature(Tg) of acrylate resin and cohesiveness of pressure sensitive adhesive; the effects of the initiator and chain transfer agents' contents on the molecular weight distribution of acrylic resin and cohesiveness of pressure sensitive adhesive; the effects of the preparation technique of adhesive and pressure sensitive adhesive tape on the cohesiveness of pressure sensitive adhesive; Moreover, the chemical structures of the acrylate resin were characterized and the possible reactions during the usage of pressure sensitive adhesive were analysized, which based on the testing results of DMA and GPC.The results showed that: with the AMPS' contents increase, the pressure sensitive adhesive begin to have erasable ability, water resistance became poorer, tack raised, holding power first increased and then unchanged. The increase in contents of soft monomer 2-EHA will reduce the Tg of the acrylic resin and the holding power, which also lead the tack increased first and then decreased. However, the hard monomer MMA contents increas will increase the Tg of the acrylic resin and lead the tack reduced and the holding power raised; With the increase of soft monomer in the system, the Tg of the acrylic resin reduced, the tack increased, the holding power reduced; although the more amount of BPO and CCl4 can make acrylic resin molecule more smaller and molecule distribution more concentrated, but also lead the tack raised and the holding power reduced; With the increase of the crosslinking agent can reduced the tack and increased the holding power. With the increase of the baking temperature and baking time, the tack reduced first and then decreased, the holding power increased first then decreased; adhesive film thickness had no effect on tack, but the holding power reduced with the increase of thickness. According to the trend of the various factors on the properties of the pressure sensitive adhesive, and ultimately determine the amount of hydrophilic functional monomer AMPS was 7.5 wt.% of the other monomers total mass; The mass ratio of the other monomers 2-EHA: BA: MMA: St was 4: 4: 0.75: 0.25; The amount of BPO and CCl4 were 1.0 wt.% and 0.4 wt.% of the total mass of monomers; The amount of crosslinking agent was 1.0 wt.% of the pure resin, the solid content of adhesive was 50 %; The baking temperature was 120 and the baking time was 5 ?minutes of the pressure sensitive adhesive tape, and the adhesive film thickness was 15 ?m. In that case, the erasable type pressure sensitive adhesive has erasable ability, water resistance was 69 h, tack was 10 #, holding power was 36 h. The erasable type acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive has similar mechanical properties compared with the existing acrylate pressure sensitive adhesive, and at the same time it has erasable ability by water.
