Study On Nylon Coating Process Of Steering Intermediate Shaft For The Heavy Truck

Vehicle steering system is one of the most important components in the vehicle chassis system and the steering intermediate shaft is an important security part, which is connected to the steering column and the steering gear, its performance directly affects the driving comfort, controllabitity and safety, so it is important to ensure the intermediate shaft reliability.The subject, based on heavy truck designed by a domestic company, is focused on solving problems which are not up to the standard, for example the heavy truck steering intermediate shaft stiffness, poor wear resistance, torsion clearance and telescopic sliding force. Under the condition of meeting the technical requirements, the object reduce the manufacturing cost of the intermediate shaft as far as possible, and provide competitive matching products for customers.Firstly the research background and significance are described, the steering function and structure of the intermediate shaft are introduced respectively, the present states of the research and development tendency at home and abroad are introduced. On this basis, the design scheme and the process are determined by the product design and the prototype test. Then the critical nylon coating process is studied, the tooling requirement and the equipment requirements are defined for critical process, and the important control parameters of the coating process are defined too. Finally, the economy analysis is made on nylon process production line, and then the laboratories examination of the prototypes for the steering intermediate shaft are made, the testing results are analyzed.Truck steering intermediate shaft test results show that the indicators meet technical requirements, for the enterprise, the results have great significance in smooth production and putting on the market of this new product.
