| With the increasing of family cars, every city is also becoming more and more congested. On the premise of road resources are limited, if reasonable planning the route of traveler, it could possibly resolve travel efficiency. At the same time, effective planning can also improve road utilization and the fuel economy. It will also take the contribution in the field of environmental protection. At present, the United States, Japan, Europe and all other developed countries, are more and more take travel efficiency as the key research project that how can the road have used more economical due to traffic congestion. Vehicle navigation system can use GPS system to locate the vehicle position, and according to the traffic situation, the objective position information, planning the travel route more reasonable in cording to save travel cost.This thesis is taking the main research contents for the digital map module in the navigation system. This navigation system is based on the database which data format is the KIWI. Through the analysis of the map data format, the map module organizes map data into a hierarchy of logical; then realizes the function of digital map display to the driver. This system is developed based on the Windows XP operation system. The running environment is the WinCE platform. The main function of this system includes items display, scale lifting, map scroll, updating map according to the vehicle location, opening map according to the point specified by user, etc. Also, the digital map displays the users most care items. For example, the background; the building information; the road information; the route information and the traffic information are all displayed on map. The driver can more easily know the road conditions, rational planning their travel routes. The driving process becomes more convenient and reasonable.Firstly, this thesis introduces the practical significance of developing GPS system. And then, this thesis describes the vehicle navigation system in generally, introduced the GPS, map data and other related concepts. Then, Joker platform used in this system is analyzed in detail, then the technical scheme and development environment are explained. Then the system function design is described in detail, the structure diagram and data table design are given. The system implementation is described with text, diagram, and sequence diagram. The implementation method of digital map module of the system is given in detail. Then, this thesis describes the test method of this system, provides the detailed test results. At last, the work in this thesis is summarized and the further steps are prospected. |
