There is a deep research in tilting pad bearing, for its great performance in applying. So much attention should be taken in study on the impact of the bear’s parameter, it will give a reference for the tilting bear design and fault diagnosis.The three theory, the finite element method, the Reynolds variation equation and the Reynolds boundary condition, was applied to calculate the oil film pressure of pads. Then the Matlab program will be used to solve the Reynolds equation and obtain the pressure, and all the parameter will be totally considering about, such as the swing angle of pad, the structure and the position of the shaft. Finally, the Euler scheme will be used to solve the journal center trajectories of the bearing. Besides, the reality rotor system of the compressor will also be analyzed by lumped model and the method expressed above. The results show that, the preload coefficient of the bearing is better up to 0.5 and below to 0.8, for it is too small to keep loading and too large to stay stability. Meanwhile, the radial clearance should also keep in appropriate range, for too large may decrease the carrying capacity and too small may cause the scoops, compared to the common fixed bearing, the tilting pad bearing is more stable. The reseach will be a reference for the tilting pad choosing.
