With the development of advanced manufacturing technology in China, the contact between digital measurement technology and digital manufacturing technology is more closely, especially in the aspect of improve production efficiency and ensure product quality digital measurement technology plays a crucial role. Digital measurement technology has many advantages such as high precision, high efficiency and high flexible, it has solved the measurement task which traditional way can’t do, especially in the measurement of complex curved surface parts technical advantages are more apparent. The research on the digital measurement based on a certain type of engine composite turbine blades, the studied as follows.Through to the research of digital measuring equipment system composition, working principle and application condition and combining with the measured profile characteristics of turbine blade, working out that articulated arm measurement machine does better to measure the turbine blade with complex surface by comprehensive comparison, because articulated arm measurement machine not only can use hard measuring head to realize contact measurement, but also use its laser scanning function to realize non-contact laser scanning measurement.Based on the working principle and characteristics of articulated arm measuring machine, puts forward four kinds of a certain type of engine blade measurement method. By studying the principle of point cloud data splicing, introduction the ICP algorithm and least square method based on geometric feature, realize accurate splicing of point cloud data. Comparing the point cloud data with the theory mathematical model, analysis and evaluation measurements, summing up the advantages, disadvantages and suitable conditions of various measuring methods by comparison, providing important reference for engine blades measurements.Introducing the application and development of reverse engineering technology, putting forward the reverse design method by curve fitting model design and surface fitting model design. Introducing the specific process of engine blade reverse design based on CATIA software, completed the reverse design of an aero-engine blade local entity, improving the efficiency of product research and development design in related industries.
