At this stage in the treatment for patients with heart failure, although there is still a heart transplant, many patients lost their lives due to lack of timely treatment because of the lack of donor and extremely high cost of the surgery.Centrifugal maglev blood pump as the substitute for heart transplantation can effectively alleviate the donor shortage problem, which has become the breakthrough focus of research at home and abroad for treatment of heart disease technology. And how to make sure the flow state of the whole flow channel is good and uniform, and at the same time deal with the blood loss problem well under the high rotational speed of impeller guaranteeing its dynamic performance are major problem faced by the researchers.On the basis of blood pump flow model established in Solid Works software and meshed in Gambit, through setting the control parameters and boundary conditions of flow simulation, using standard k- e turbulence model and utilizing the SIMPLEC algorithm of pressure coupling for solving equation, this paper,which was based on fluid simulation software Fluent, achieved the numerical simulation of independently developed bladeless centrifugal maglev blood pump flow field. The numerical simulation obtained the blood pump’s pressure, flow rate and trace distribution under different conditions, and then analyzed the flow properties of blood pump.The shear force due to the high rotational speed of the impeller in blood pump will break the red blood cells, that cause hemolysis. This paper based on the hemolysis estimation formula given by the former, apply the fluid simulation software Fluent to establish the estimation model of hemolysis, then got the shear stress distribution of the whole flow field of the independently developed bladeless centrifugal maglev blood pump; at the same time obtain the blood pump surface shear stress maximum under different conditions, and according to the relationship between cutting stress and exposure time in the blood pump, predictthe blood pump hemolysis performance.Build vitro hemolysis test device, under the design condition, measure hematocrit and free hemoglobin in plasma within a certain time interval, then calculate blood pump Normalized Index of Hemolysis. Compare this blood pump with other blood pump at home and abroad to evaluate the blood pump hemolysis;at the same time analyze the blood pump outlet pressure and the changes of blood pump inlet and outlet temperature.
