Nowadays,heart failure risks to human's health.Lacking heart donors leads many people couldn't have heart transplantation. The artificial heart pump can solve this problem in some extent. With its unique advantages of contactless bearing, Maglev blood pump can make impeller no mechanical friction, no lubrication, which can effectively reduce the blood cell's damage and the incidence of thrombosis. So far, the bearing characteristics of centrifugal maglev blood pump are so litter in the condition of hemodynamic at home and abroad. So this paper is focusing on studying the bearing characteristics of the centrifugal maglev artificial heart pump, which is the theoretical basis for the application of centrifugal artificial heart pump. The main contents of studying in the paper are as follows:(1) Optimization design of the supporting structure of centrifugal maglev heart pump. It determines both the the heart pump's overall structure and overall layout directly. How the supporting structure is will affect the heart pump's performance. Therefore, it is a prerequisite to design pretty optimal support structure.(2) Magnetic field analysis of centrifugal maglev heart pump. When the blood flows in the levitation gap of the heart pump, the magnetic levitation gap of the supporting part will be changed. Then it will affect the characteristics of the magnetic field.So it is very necessary to analyze the magnetic field of the supporting part.It is very important to analyze the relationship between the axial magnetic gap and axial electromagnetic force, the one between axial magnetic gap and the magnetic field strength, also between the offset of the impeller center and magnetic field strength, and between the offset of the impeller center and magnetic centripetal force.(3) Flow field analysis of the centrifugal maglev heart pump. The structure of the impeller and the pump affect its bearing characteristics directly. When Blood flows in the magnetic levitation gap of the heart pump, friction or impact of pump,impeller will change the size of the magnetic levitation gap, and then it will affect the bearing characteristics. In this paper, by analyzing the relations between the flow field under different axial magnetic gap and the center offset, we can get the idea and know their relationships.Through studying the three aspects above, the integral structure optimization design of the centrifugal maglev heart pump has been carried out.The bearing characteristic of the magnetic bearing of different axial magnetic gap and center offset under the blood flow has been obtained.
