With the development of super highway and the advancement of automotive technology, a traveling road traffic speed and traffic-intensive trend appears. There will be a wide variety of vehicle stability problems when we drive, in order to improve driving safety, people put forward higher requirements on the controllability and the maneuverability of the vehicle. Therefore, the handling stability of the vehicle has been paid more and more attention and become a hot spot of modern automotive research, when driving the car in normal straight, the car may encounter a lot of lateral force interference from the outside world, For example, complex surface, lateral wind,and so on; in consideration of the vehicle driving state changing because of driver's manipulation, the stress state of automobile becomes more and more complex, causing that the tire force often exceeds beyond the lateral limits of tire adhesion, then the car will lose its steering stability and directional stability, thus leads to accidents. Accordingly, how to ensure the stability of the car when driving at high speed or complex pavement is a very valuable research topic.Firstly, establish a virtual prototype model of an automobile based on the mechanical system dynamics simulation software ADAMS, on the basis of the evaluation index and evaluation method of control stability, discuss the Influencing factors on the vehicle driving state such as tire and the road and so on, create different events straight driving conditions and road documents by driving file editor and road modeler, research that the car's different straight driving conditions simulation experiments when driving on the separation of different driving straight road, which has not applied stability control system, for the purpose of contrasting to the improving effect of the control system on the vehicle for stability.Secondly, based on analysis of the stability of traveling straight condition of the vehicle and control methods of current vehicle stability control system, propose a yaw moment control strategy for stability based on differential braking measures and for the purpose of keeping the straight path and running stability; establish differential braking control system model and the yaw moment distribution model in SIMULINK; establish a vehicle model of three degree of freedom according to the corresponding automobile model parameters in ADAMS, research the different straight driving conditions simulation experiments of vehicle model of three degree of freedom with the stability control system when driving on the separation of different driving straight road, so as to verify the reasonableness of the control strategy.Finally, this paper makes full use of the advantages of the mechanical dynamic simulation software ADAMS and the control systems software MATLAB; introduces the ADAMS/Controls co-simulation interfaces; realizes the combination of the control model created in MATLAB/SIMULINK and mechanical system model established in ADAMS; conducts the co-simulation test about straight driving stability, verifies the reasonableness of the control strategy.
