| China’s Ministry of Transport in "The twelfth five-year development plan of transport" has put forward a project of "national transit city" in thirty cities including Xi’an during five years to release a series of congestion and environment pollution. Bus as the most common form of public transport, plays a pivotal role in daily life.” The bus priority" strategy has implemented in many cities, while the complement of ancillary facilities has gradually attached to the relevant departments. With the development of economy, people’s material needs and aesthetic experience has enhanced so that they has more demands on bus-related facilities. This requires the visually oriented bus system reflects the fundamental guiding functions and artistic value, which in order to enrich the feelings of people and as the city’s window to show unique local culture and urban connotations. However, the author has found that after analysis of the bus body and waiting facilities visual guidance systems in Xi’an, there are many shortcomings of its design, such as uncertain orientation and identification, chaotic image, fuzzy geographical features, lack of English guides and so on.Through out the discovery and analysis of Xi’an bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system design problems, this paper summed up the aims and principles of it from the current situation of Xi’an bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system. Start from the functional objectives of "function of the first" to analyses the color elements, text elements and light elements which will affect the expression of information, and provide the scientific basis for the design of the xi’an bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system. From the point of beautification of the unified whole image design, this paper analyzed the graphic elements, material strength which can reflect the overall design, and provides necessary reference data for the form of xi ’an bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system design; from the cultivation target of regional characteristics, it analyses the model elements and guide the ideas of Xi’an bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system; in addition, from the international goal of showing its international metropolis, it analyses the graphic symbol elements and international color elements which improve the design of Xi’an bus visual guide system.Reasonable and effective visual guidance system of bus body and waiting facilities, can play an important role in solve problems of chaotic image of bus and provide right traffic information to people quickly, which can also guide people to their destinations efficiently and orderly. Meanwhile, to foreign tourists, it is not only guidance but also a visiting card which reveals the local cultural and unique city connotations of Xi’an. The author hopes to design a complete bus body and waiting facilities visual guide system which has local characters of Xi’an through the essay, in order to improve and optimize the bus body and waiting facilities visual guidance system of Xi’an, and summarize the design methods for the future-oriented vision and provide some helps and references to some extent. |
