Ultrasonic micro/nano manipulation technology makes use of physical effects of ultrasound to implement the manipulation functions such as trapping, transferring, rotating, and releasing for micro/nano objects. Ultrasonic field for the manipulations is usually generated by a piezoelectric transducer, which converts electric energy into a mechanical vibration. Acoustic manipulation technology has the advantages such as simple device structures, no selectivity to the sample material, and less heat damage.This article is based on the team for the manipulation of micro/nano objects of Professor Hu. Wedesign a system for ultrasonic micro/nano manipulator, which is to integrate the existing devices fora system and solves low position precision and jitter problem of the existing system.This researchmain include:The design of mechanical structure and the design of the hardware circuit.The design of mechanical structure includes 3-DOF platform, the selection of motors and drives, the design of ultrasonic transducer and jig.The design of the hardware circuit mainly includes the design of the power supply circuit, reset circuit, the clock signal circuit, program download circuit, the storage circuit, the buttons and display lamp circuit design.The design of a system software for ultrasonic micro/nano manipulator. The design of a system software includes PC interface and STM32 code programming. PC interface is designed by VISA of Lab VIEW software. The design of the program code is used KEIL software. It includes the serial data transceiver, and how to realize sending drive pulse accurately and controling the position of the stepper motor precisely.Compared with the existing ultrasonic manipulation systems, the system has a higher positioning accuracy and solves the problem of the microprobe's jitter, which occurs in the beginning and end of the ultrasonic micro/nano manipulation.
