As the consciousness of energy shortage and environmental protection strengthened,Free Piston Stirling device has been paid great attention for its high efficiency, long life,low pollution, simple structure and a series of advantages. Free Piston Stirling Engine has a variety of fuel adaptability, adopts flexible plate spring supporting technology, has been widely used in aerospace, solar energy and biomass and other fields. Free Piston Stirling Crycooler can reach a wide range of low temperature with single-stage, adopts linear motor technology, and is widely used in the infrared technology, space observation, low temperature biological and other fields. Two-dimension of Free Piston Stirling Device has been simulated by Fluent software in this thesis, and the following several aspects have been discussed:1) A Free Piston Stirling Engine, which has been researching, has been simplified to two-dimensional model, and simulated as a engine and refrigerator respectively by using dynamic grid technology and UDF function in Fluent. The results show that the distribution of density is uniform in expansion room and compression room for both crycooler and engine, eddy dissipation happens in expansion room and compression room. Regenerator is the main component of pressure drop, and presents several complex characteristics of flow and heat transfer, and the distribution of pressure in a oscillating period is non-monotonic along the axial direction. Otherwise, the indicator diagram of expansion room and compression room and output work have been obtained.2) According to the parameter sensitivity analysis, the effect of the inflation pressure, vibration frequency, phase difference, the temperature of hot end, porosity and regenerator Parameters to performance of whole machine have been analysesed, when these parameters change, the tendency of pressure amplitude of hot and cold room, pressure drop on both ends of the regenerator, the pressure loss ratio, the mass flow rate, temperature and power has been obtained.3) Experimental research has been done on the free piston stirling device, the experiment mainly monitors the pressure variety of hot and cold room, acceleration variety, after dealing with the experimental data,the variable condition characteristic of the engine and the refrigerator has been analyzed. Then an operating condition has been selected, and the experimental data and simulation data has been compared, the analysis shows that the error is less than 15%.
