With the continuous development of national economy, manufacturing enterprises need to reduce their production cost to cope with the fierce market competition. However, it becomes more and more difficult to boost profit by reducing resource cost and improving work efficiency. As a result, logistics becomes the third profit-point. In the field of logistics, the vehicle scheduling optimization has become an important part to reduce logistics cost, which is of great significance for enterprises to improve business efficiency. However, there are very few researches about internal vehicle scheduling of enterprises. Therefore, this thesis aims to making a study of this practical problem.Aims at the internal vehicle scheduling of enterprises issue, this thesis carries out a series of study. Firstly, Overview of vehicle routing problem and the related theory of lean logistics are given, followed by a detailed introduction of the genetic algorithm. After that, the existing problems of M enterprise is fond out by analyzing the status quo of vehicle scheduling within the facility based on the lean logistics theory. Then the model of vehicle scheduling problem with time constraint is formulated. Finally, with improved genetic algorithm, this model is applied in practical problems solving, which proves the effectiveness of this model and analysis method. At last, after analyzing the status quo of vehicle scheduling, demand and business process of M enterprise, the system module architecture and software function is realized, which can be referred as a supplement to ERP system. The scheduling system can automatically generate the vehicle scheduling schemes according to the material demand plan and it can also monitor the operational state of vehicles. The practical application proves that using the proposed scheme the logistics operation efficiency is improved and the internal vehicle scheduling problem is solved.
