Electrical energy is the main resource of national economic development, people's living and production. As the development of the smart grid as well as the digital substation, traditional transformer and electrical energy meter will be replaced by electronic transformers and digital power meter gradually. The way of electric power measurement is coming to digital era as well. The accuracy of electrical energy metering is very important for the interest of electricity generation department, power supply department and users when close to an account. As a new produce, every aspects in relation to it is still maturing. Our country hasn't introduced a regulation on digital electrical energy metering yet. Therefore, the accuracy of digital electrical energy metering is still needed to be studied.The passage introduced the development background and current development status first. According to the electronic transformer, merging unit and digital electrical energy meter in the smart gird, the passage put forward some factors influencing electrical energy measurement. Aimed at typical influence factors, such as truncation errors, round-off errors, frequency deviation of the signal, signal that contain harmonic, signal that contain direct current or random disturbance, the passage conducted theoretical analysis and simulation calculation. Putting forward some test method on the electrical energy metering error. And conduct some test on digital electrical energy meter with the help of test equipment, in order to verify the results of analysis. Giving results on the impact of the measurement results and processing methods to minimize measurement errors.The passage put forward some suggestions on reducing the errors, improving functions via analyzing the error components in digital electrical energy metering and giving constructive suggestions on error testing of the digital electrical energy metering system.
