Pulsed high voltage capacitor charging technology has been studied for many years. And it has achieved good development in all aspects. This paper gives a simple exposition about the overview of the development of laser power at first. Then, it makes a comparative analysis about the charging technologies for pulsed high voltage capacitor, and gives a detailed introduction about the advantages of the series resonant capacitor charging techniques in the abstract.This paper originates from a scientific research project of the research group, and makes the analysis and design of the charging circuit of capacitor for a laser power. So a lot of practical problems must be considered and the requirements of engineering design must be followed. The analysis of every part of the main circuit determines the structure of the circuit and calculates the basic parameters of components, then fulfils a task of selecting the device models. In order to further verify the correctness of the principles and parameters, I use the software of Simulink to simulate the entire charger and get the simulation waveforms of voltage and current in all cases, from which we can get a further understanding of the series resonant converter.Through the analysis of the charger, we can know its basic control functions. In this paper, we can get a gradual understanding of the basic components of the controller, to determine its basic composition. The DSP28335 is used as the control core. After design of the external circuit, it will give a specific detail description of each control circuit on the chip level and introduce the basic working principles of every circuit. So the hardware design of the whole system is completed, by drawing PCB board. O n this basis, the control idea and strategy, realization of the software are detail introduced in this thesis. Then the conclusion is drawn by getting the experimental waveforms, In order to set the direction for the modifications of the design in next phase.
