Researched and developed a new vehicle, the performance of the vehicle was the primary goal that designer should be cleared. Because the positioning of new models and market are closely related to it. In different conditions, new vehicle performance will be very different, so the process of developing new vehicle, often base on common condition for the power and transmission system optimization and matching.First of all, the optimization problem contains three elements: objective function, constraint conditions and decision variables. Used cluster analysis method to obtain mathematical model of the evaluation of the indicators. According to the evaluation of vehicle performance, give different weights. Then linear combine with them, it is set as the objective function. Constraint conditions were come from heavy commercial tractor running. It was absolutely decided by itself. According to the key parts for vehicle performance parameters sensitivity analysis, select the decision variables. Find out that the most sensitivity for vehicle performance parameters is transmission gear ratios and final drive ratio.Secondly, because of heavy commercial tractor power system and transmission system matching problem can be seen a combination of a continuous domain of optimization problems, namely the transmission and final drive ratios for each gear ratio can be continuously varied within a desired range. It had a variety of combinations, and the impact on vehicle performance is not in rules. Therefore, continuous improvement domain adaptive ant colony algorithm can solve the problem. The algorithm searches through a group of the best parts of the parameters to calculate the objective function value of-0.1568 and the performance of the vehicle had a larger increase than before. So it proves that the feasibility of the problem in the algorithm fully reflects the improved results.Finally, based on the optimization results, find the key parts to match the vehicle, and completed real vehicle test. Real vehicle performance can be obtained with the simulation results error rate less than 5%, and the real vehicle performance computing and simulation performance were better than the initial value of the car. Computer simulation results show that it can satisfy precision. And computer simulation proved able to meet the performance requirements of automotive computing.
