Security ability of vehicle and motorcycle rely on the performance of brake. Currently, Hydraulic disc brake has been widely used in motorcycle, for the cause of ensuring practical quality and performance, The effective and accurate detection need to be completed for products. By analyzing monitoring data come from actual test, designer can improve production process, optimize design parameter, promote working performance of products. According to cooperative project named online performance test of hydraulic disc brake with brake manufacturer, a series of test bench are desgined to detect the working performance of brake cylinder in this paper.The paper firstly analyzed operating principle and force condition of hydraulic disc brake, especially for operating process and influence factor of brake pump. In the light of QC/T655-2005, the motorcycle and portable motorcycle brake technology conditions, test projects and test requirmenst are identified, mechanical parts and computer measuring and controlling section is desgined, which including several measuring function: low pressure sealing, piston idle route, manual steering force. One of bench is intergration designed for low pressure sealing and piston idle route test, The other is desgined for manual steering force of brake pump. In the light of principle of piston cup's sealing and stress, detecting method of low pressure sealing and piston idle route is discussed, test mechanical parts are desgined. Brake pump assembly manual force test method and device is determined by analyzing level principle. Manual operating simulation device is planned to simulate manual manipulation.According to requirment of operating environment and control accuracy, computer hard mechanical parts of measurement and control are desgined. Acquistion card and serial communication card is developed, the main part, stepping motor, variable frequency motor, sensor and proximity switch is selected and desgined. Based on industrial control computer and VC++, test control program and human-computer interaction interface is wrote and exploited, which realized products automatic detection and graphical display. Serial communication program is completed to finish data communication between single computer and multiple computers.On account of standard evaluation indexs of brake pump, test data is disposed by way of mediation filter and limit breadth filter. Compared test results with evaluation indexs, the manufacturer could effectively evaluate brake performance of products. The combination of test principle and test technology verified effectiveness and reliability of test bench, which provided important assurance for products performance detection and technology development.
