Application Of Signage Wayfinding System Design In College Environment

Universities have so far experienced decades of development, and the students and areas of universities continue increasing. Diversification of the entire campus atmosphere has gradually become an important engineering system. Among them, in the university environment, signage wayfinding systems have become an essential part of the campus, which carries the unique flavor of campus culture. However, the current status university environmental signage wayfinding systems is unsatisfactory, and lacks standardization, as well as the form of vague instructions monotony and countless other problems, not only failed to meet the functional requirements, but also lack of Universities should be featured. Based on the rapid development of today’s colleges and universities and their signage wayfinding systems development of the state of serious imbalance, signage wayfinding systems in current colleges and universities in building the system needs to improve and perfect subject.In this paper, signage wayfinding systems design in college environments and the way to build university campus signage wayfinding systems were studied. First, this paper analyzed research background, purpose and meaning, content and methods, and the main structural framework of the signage wayfinding systems design applications in university environments. Then this paper presented a review on the relevant signage wayfinding systems. Based the college environment at home and abroad signage wayfinding system theory and examples of research and analysis, from an environmental perspective we summarized the current system of signage wayfinding systems. Then, university environmental signage wayfinding systems design principles and construction methods were proposed. Then a more detailed description of the guidance system of the constituent elements of the campus was presented. Form and perception performance, and strive to achieve physical and spiritual effects of cultural harmony and unity to the greatest extent. Finally, Anhui Engineering University campus signage wayfinding system as the practice case, theory and practice, specifically addressed the theoretical knowledge of signage wayfinding system design applied to the university environment, which confirms the value of this thesis research, and related findings was summarized.
