| ABSTRACT:By studying various types of wayfinding signage in comprehensive transportation hub, a kind of design process and method is proposed. Meanwhile, a design model that Integrated static, dynamic and intelligent wayfinding signage is constructed, and the application of intelligent wayfinding signage in large comprehensive transportation hub space is investigated. Firstly, taking Hefei South Railway Station as example, though methods of literature researching, case analyzing, experiment summarizing and role assumption, passengers’wayfinding behavior were analyzed and used for guiding the point arrangement and shape and size design of wayfinding signage. Secondly, by analyzing effect of requirement difference on type selection of wayfinding signage, we found out that the comprehensive application of static, dynamic and intelligent wayfinding signage were significant for meeting the needs of wayfinding in large comprehensive transportation hub space. Thirdly, based on typical case, composition and characteristics of intelligent wayfinding signage were investigated, and a design process was proposed. Finally, through analyzing of three kinds of wayfinding signage comprehensively, the designing process and method of wayfinding signage system were concluded, which provides reference for specific designing in the future. |
