Dyke-dams in TongLing district are the only indemnificatory structures that can dam up the flood; store flood water; do water diversion, which are made of multiple system homogeneous and heterogeneous anisotropic materials to fill dam; also, it is easy to be damaged by Subterranean Termite. The study did substantive investigation for TongLing district's natural environment, ecology, nature of dam, termite species, especially hazard distribution, density and degree of Odontotermes formosamts. By analyg'ng and pursing the cause of TongLing district dyke-dams'Odontotermes formosamis; and for the sake of effective control of dyke-dams Odontotermes formosanns, a series of experiments were conducted on harm and administration, antiseep to prevent termites.Through the investigation, Odontotermes formosamis is the most widely distributed ants, which accounts for more than the highest and dangerous ants. If the hidden troubles results from dam body more and more obviously, but the cross-sectionaj area comes smaller. Ant channels are easier to cause the dam transfixion;and, they will result in the serious damage to dams. Although there occurs different districts, different dam and dam in different sections of the same damage distribution, density, degree which leads to the high hazard ratio. The relevant ground flora and buildings all suffers from that. In this study, TongLing has suitable natural environments, ecological conditions, and the widespread existence of Odontotermes formosamis population is the premise and base that causes the dam damage. On the one hand, topographi cal features of the dam i tsel f i s the mai n reason of ants fly, aslo, nest building and development is thekey reason. On the other hand, due to the early new construction in TongLing, reconstruction, expansion and reinforcing the dam foundation, the soil and the surrounding environment with the inducement promotion of light. Those factors make survival, reproduction, various conditions extended ants possible. In the lack of human beings' intervention, Odontotermes formosamis in population is the result of natural development on the dam, whichisthemain reason I eadi ng to the ants can not be control I ed up to now.To investigate the governance of Odontotermes formosanus damage on the dam, on the point of dam were investigated immediately after the comprehensive treatment of digging nests, lure, perf us on, combi ned wi th sprayi ng, trenchi ng, si ngl e or mul ti ple measures, and got good i nterventi on effect. After these treatment, we did follow-up investigation of different dam of ants with the concerning data (a decrease of 76.67%-100%.). This study found that Odontotermes formosamis had a large population with big nests, also, it was uneasy to find its harm to dam, but according to the exposed characteristics, whereabouts, and related referent. But we can find nests so that it is convenient to dig nest excavation, fill the nest plug ant channel. Eliminating dam cavity was best way to ensure the effective protection of the dam structure tight, solid, and safe If it was useless supplementing luring, and spraying method can not solve the governance of excavation, we can take measures to strengthen the follow-up, monitoring, reducing the omission, by backfilling timely to stop up the nest. Though strengthening the implementation of drilling perfusion, excavating termite ditch or laying geomembraneto prevent termites and leak when it isnecessary can protect the dam in a long time If dams are harmed by termite, or even when occurs mild harm it also can greatly improve the ability of flood dike and floods prevention.
