With the rapid development of economy, water treatment has become the focus of the city. At the same time, municipal engineering design in large numbers, which leads to the design quality and the design efficiency of the waterworks structures have become increasingly demanding. The current design staff is still in the manual calculation with the use of CAD software manual drawing stage. So conducting the secondary development to AutoCAD, the method of parametric drawing applications in the field of water supply and drainage design is the future trend of development.Using CAD software to design graphics have become a core component of water supply and drainage design staff for drawing designs. Facing the demands of the designers, the existing design software has the following deficiencies:(1) Designers need to spend a lot of time to read the information and books, check charts, design calculations when using traditional measure to design water structures, then drawing with CAD software after Data obtained, the process is cumbersome and inefficient which has been unable to meet the needs of the new situation of municipal engineering development. (2)Can not draw basic graphics. (3)There is no function of drawing the cross-sectional view automatically. (4)There is no a design system for a single sewage dealing structures.Face of the above problems, In this paper, against the needs of the water supply and drainage design staff, conducting the secondary development to AutoCAD. This system by AutoCAD2007 for secondary development platform, using the visual interface and Active Automation technology, Using the embedded VB A programming language, Adopting the method of parametric drawing, developed a set of sewage treatment structures based on AutoCAD inclined tube settling tank of parameterized drawing design system. The system according to the design code of our country existing write automation calculation procedures, according to the parameters accurately calculate the structure size, and accurately parameterized drawing. Solve the above problems, to achieve automatic computer calculation and drawing, calculation and drawing of implementation of integration and any position profile automatic drawing.In this paper, the research content and work mainly in the following aspects:(1) the study of VB and VBA language. (2) the study of visual interface and Active Automation technology. (3) the study of the inclined tube settling tank system calculation and drawing. (4) to realize the method of parametric drawing. (5) to realize any position profile automatically drawing method of research.This system mainly includes two aspects:one is for structure design and calculation, the second is implementation structures of parametric drawing. The parametric design system mainly includes:input interface structure parameter and structure size, structure, process calculation program module, drawing and calculation results show that the program module, and related auxiliary module. By unified interface, may realize the data transmission between each module and the interaction with the user, to reduce the user operation difficulty, the user is easy to use.The parametric drawing system adopts frame type structure design, the system is composed of four function modules:interface design module, the design of inclined tube sedimentation tank module, parametric drawing module, auxiliary function module. VBA language as a secondary development tool, powerful, can complete the inclined tube sedimentation tank process calculation, call all CAD drawing commands. To process the size and structure size as variables, through procedures to get the coordinate values of various points in the graph, gives point coordinates to CAD command, and can complete the graphic layout, When the input variables of different size, can draw different size of inclined tube sedimentation tank graphics, and through the superior in the drawing size in proportion variable, can draw the pattern of the different proportion. With input from the user's point of view, elevation, pipe diameter, such as parameters as variables, according to the pipeline anchor point to calculate the coordinates relative to the reference point position, can be based on user input to draw all kinds of pipe diameter of the pipe graphics; This procedure is to use VBA programming language to calculate the inclined tube sedimentation tank size of each part, and then process size, structure, size, user input the relevant information to the relevant drawing program, Drawing program for organizing completion point coordinate calculation and graphics generation, so that we can in the CAD environment to save, print, output of graphics, and procedure is issued in the form of a menu.Software components in the form and way of modules to implement, can through the menu, a command button, the mouse to click operation such as single call event or call the combination of different events, we can realize the function of each functional module, complete software parametric drawing.Trying in the practical engineering applications, the users only need input parameters, the system can draw construction drawing, greatly simplifies the design of inclined tube settling tank process, reduce the design difficulty, improve the degree of automation, improve the precision and speed of computing, improves the design efficiency, has the characteristics of simple operation, quick drawing, this system has obtained the good application effect, is a practical very strong aided design software, for water supply and drainage design has very important practical significance.
