In order to describe the seismic behavior of the structure such as high-rise buildings and super high-rise buildings more accurately, elastic-plastic time-history analysis under rare earthquake is needed to these structures. Because the general finite element software like ABAQUS uses the fiber model and layered shell model, so ABAQUS can obtain more accurate solution compared with the structure engineering software which adopt plastic hinge model. And it becomes one of the most important tools for structural dynamic elastic-plastic analysis. But it is very cumbersome and time-consuming to build ABAQUS models of complex structures. The application of ABAQUS to perform dynamic elasto-plastic analysis is restricted.Based on parametric finite element modeling, this paper develops a conversion program which can switch model from PMSAP to ABAQUS. Thus the modeling in ABAQUS is omitted, and the efficiency of performing dynamic elasto-plastic analysis on complex high-rise structures is greatly improved.Based on Python programming platform, the use of parameterized modeling thought, through extracting effective information about the geometry,reinforcement and load of PMSAP model, after calculation,direct conversion process the file is rewritten into standard IGES format file(general intermediate format software). Then the IGES file is imported into the ABAQUS/CAE and ABAQUS is operated by the Python language background. The details modified in CAE(such as division of mesh operation), after the files and inp file are generated. Users only need to CAE or inp documents submitted, the finite element analysis can be completed. While achieved rapid modeling, a great deal with the details such as unit mesh processing.Convert five PMSAP models of different structural system to ABAQUS models via the conversion program and execute mode analysis as well as elastic time-history analysis in both softwares. The comparison of results proves that the conversions of nodes, elements, material, cross section, loading and mass are complete and correct.Transformation scheme, finally, based on this paper, a frame shear wall structure under severe earthquake action of the dynamic elastic-plastic analysis. By investigating the shaping of the structure at the bottom of the damage process and the development of plastic hinge area, the structural seismic performance evaluation. Get the structure weak positions and weak flool analysis results. That structure in the whole deformation and deformation between the layers to meet the requirements of the specification limits. Prove the transformation model can effectively simulate structure of seismic nonlinear response. Conversion program was applied to dynamic elastoplastic analysis of reinforced concrete structures is a practical, greatly improve the efficiency of the modeling and analysis.
