This article from the perspective of transport infrastructure services in traffic safety, through the analysis of the status quo of domestic and international highway guardrail, a new material guardrail in our country and even the world has a good development prospect. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the new material, special study of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in detail, and compared with other materials of the guardrail, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has its unique advantages. Its material performance and outstanding characteristics, and technological development has a certain scale, has a good application prospect. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene material performance is very good, but its application still has some limitations in the field of highway guardrail, mainly manifested in its processing is difficult, difficult to achieve high efficiency and low cost of processing; Its material properties can truly meet the needs of the highway protection of bumping guardrail products; Real vehicle collision of traditional verification method is cost higher defect.By using the computer simulation method can effectively solve the problem of its validation, and can simulate different models, different initial conditions of collision process, and can provide the experiment cannot be observed that the collision process of the details. In this paper, based on the highway guardrail safety performance evaluation standard "highway traffic safety facilities such as standard, from solid car collision Angle, worked out the collision.
