The beam-column joint of steel reinforced concrete is comparativelycomplicated, which contains steel and longitudinal reinforcement in columns, stirrup, and longitudinal reinforcement in beams and is wrapped with concreteoutside. In practical engineering as the joint gets high degree of reinforcement, placing stirrup is troublesome and hardly satisfies stirrup ratio requirements ofcodes. At present, research on stiffening rib of steel reinforcement joint isinsufficient and the distribution just accords with the construction requirements. The effect of stiffening rib on joint is worth studying. Though the influence ofstud on composite beams is well-researched, the influence on joint remainsunknown. This thesis involves three aspects of research applying ABAQUS softwarebased on the above problems.Through the research on stirrup in joint area, this thesis draws conclusions:as stirrup ratio increases, joint bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacitydoesn't increase much. The influence of adjusting the spacing between stirrups, the ratio of composite stirrups to rectangular stirrup on mechanical characteristicis small. As the axial compression ratio increasing, the joint bearing capacityincreases at a certain extent at early stage, but decreases at a certain extent atlater stage. The energy dissipation capacity almost doesn't change.By means of the research on stiffening ribs in columns and beams, the thesiscomes to conclusions: placing stiffening ribs in columns and beams canobviously increase bearing capacity and improve the energy capacity. Moreoverplastic hinge will occur at a short distance from the beam end, which is favorablefor columns and joints against damage.Through the study on stud, this thesis draws conclusions: configuring acertain number of studs can obviously improve bearing capacity of joint. Butwhen bearing capacity of stud reaches certain degree, changing the longitudinalspacing and diameter of stud has little influence bearing capacit y of the joint.Configuring stud inside or outside the beam flange has little influence on bearingcapacity of the joint.
